MechPilot for companies

MechPilot is free and open source, and it stays that way. Companies that want more than the public issue tracker can get support, training and custom features from the people who build it.

01 · What we offer

Support, training, custom features.

Support

Priority answers on DXF and STEP exchange problems with your customers and suppliers, drawing-standard questions, deployment on your workstations, and migration of existing drawings.

Training

Half-day sessions for your drafters, on your own parts: 2D drafting to ISO, parametric sketches, 3D parts and drawings from them, the checker, the library of standard parts.

Custom features

Your title block and frames, your material and part libraries, company drawing rules in the checker, export profiles for your machines. Built in the open when it helps everyone, kept private when it is yours.

02 · For engineering companies

Why MechPilot

Your drawings outlive any software licence. MechPilot is made for the drawing office that exchanges DXF and STEP with customers every day, signs drawings to ISO and must still open them in ten years: an open, documented file format on your own disks, standards with their sources, no fee per seat, and support from the people who build it when you need it.

03 · No lock-in

Why it is safe to build on

  • Apache-2.0: you may use, change and redistribute MechPilot, also inside your company, without fees.
  • Your drawings are plain, documented JSON files on your own disks, with DXF and PDF export; nothing depends on our servers.
  • Development happens in public: the roadmap, every decision and every change are in the repository.
  • The optional AI assistant works with your company’s own Claude, OpenAI or Gemini account. There is no MechPilot server in between, and the app is fully usable without it.
